Costs for a stairlift
Are there grants and financial support?
If you have our offer, the question of financing often arises. Our advisors will inform you about the various financing options. We accompany you on the way to your lift and thus to a barrier-free life in your own four walls.
Ways of funding (in Germany)
Grant by long-term care insurance*
The long-term care insurance funds a one-off grant of up to €4,000 per person and €16,000 per household for so-called “living environment improvement measures”. The condition for this is that a care level has already been assigned (care level 1 is sufficient). As a rule, the long-term care insurance company requests an offer from the insured person.
Kfw Grant
Funding can be applied for through the government development bank KfW, for example under the “Age-Appropriate Home Conversion” program. Please note that KfW funding cannot be combined with other grants (e.g. the long-term care insurance subsidy).
Further information can be found on the Kfw Website.
Tax Office*
The installation of a stairlift may be claimed as an “extraordinary burden” for tax reduction purposes. Requirement: The disability “must be verified in advance by an official medical certificate or a certificate issued by a trusted medical examiner.”
